Why I Started Triathlon Quest
I created this site because I grew tired of overly complicated triathlon advice that left everyday athletes confused. Fatriatlon focuses on realistic training for those carrying extra weight or returning after long breaks. The reader gets straightforward guidance that actually works in real life.
I live in Boulder and train on the same trails and roads that many of you use. This is not theory for me. Every article comes from hours spent testing methods myself before I recommend them.
How I Gather and Check Information
I never publish anything until I have cross-checked it with current studies and real-world feedback from athletes I coach. When new research appears I read the full paper, not just the summary. Then I test the idea during my own sessions or with willing training partners.
This approach keeps the content honest. If something only works for pros or needs expensive gear I say so immediately. The reader deserves to know when an idea will not fit their situation.
Topics I Cover Regularly
Most of my writing centres on building sustainable endurance without burning out. I explain how to adapt swim, bike and run sessions when your body carries more weight. Recovery strategies, nutrition that actually fuels long efforts and mental approaches to race day also appear often.
I break down why certain training methods succeed and where others fail. Each piece follows the same pattern: clear instruction first, then the reason it matters. You will not find generic plans here. Instead you get practical adjustments that match real schedules and real bodies.
Get in Touch
If you have questions about a specific article or want to suggest a topic, write to me at [email protected]. I read every message and reply as quickly as training allows.
Thanks for being part of this journey. I look forward to helping you move forward with confidence and enjoyment.
